About Generations Fiber Arts
We're a mother and daughter team who design and create handmade quilts and crochet blankets. Our Upper Peninsula of Michigan based business features all the handiwork we grew up with, and the generations we learned from.
I learned to crochet as a young 4-H participant, and later in high school I became the teacher to the 4-H students who would ride the school bus to my house in Flat Rock. Years later as a Girl Scout leader, my daughter was one of 22 second graders I taught to crochet. She has taken the art beyond all I could do.
Some of my most treasured possessions are the quilts made of tiny pieces, leftovers from our handmade clothes, that my mother made. Taught by her grandmother, the fabrics were carefully arranged into beautiful scrappy quilts.
